Sixty is the new sixty. With its arrival come changes at speeds your life has not known since you were an infant.

Settling seamlessly into retirement is a myth, I believe, for ours began like a tornado and had continued to be a wild ride, one not for the faint of heart.

Our journey thus far includes everything from caring for our elderly family members, to moving in with other family members, new experiences, new ways of doing things, new food, even, and of course, the wonderful gift of time with our loved ones.

Every day I thank God that I do not have to add going to work to my schedule. Every day my husband begs God for some quiet time as a retired person. Every day we hear that still small voice saying… “Wait for it…”
